Pada tahun 2022, acara ini sukses memecahkan rekor jumlah penonton karena Elden Ring dan God of War sangat mendominasi di setiap kategori yang ada.

Meskipun belum jelas bagaimana nantinya keseruan dari Game Award 2023 pada 7 Desember 2023 mendatang, saat ini paling tidak, sudah ada rilis mengenai kategori dan game mana saja yang masuk sebagai kandidat pemenang.
